How it works

From what you have now to staff who are ready

Most shops’ training lives in a folder nobody reads, or in one person’s head. We turn it into something people finish.

  1. 1

    Send us what you’ve got

    Day one

A manual, product sheets, price lists, or an hour with your best salesperson. Messy is fine.

  2. 2

    We build your curriculum

    Within a week

Short chapters, a quiz for each, and practice customers who ask about the brands you stock. Checked by someone from the trade.

  3. 3

    Staff learn, test, practise

    Short sessions on shift

On their own phone. Read a chapter, pass the quiz, then try it out loud on a practice customer.

  4. 4

    You see who’s ready

    Live

Quiz scores, practice scores, and each person’s first call next to their fifth.

What a practice call looks like

“No thanks, I’m just looking.”

Every shop hears it a hundred times a week. Your staff practise what comes next, out loud, with a customer who reacts to what they actually say. Then they get marked on it, like a good manager would.

  • Built on proven retail selling methods, adapted for the jewellery counter.
  • Built from years behind the counter in a family jewellery business in Cork.
  • Customers who walk out if you push, and warm up if you listen.

No thanks, I’m just looking.

Of course, take your time. Are you looking for yourself, or is it a gift?

It’s for my husband, actually. Our anniversary.

Lovely. How many years? And does he wear a watch every day?

The cost of learning on the floor

What does training cost your shop?

Every new starter learns on your customers while your best person stops selling to babysit. Move the sliders to match your shop. The maths is shown.

New starters a year5
Spent training them, in time€1,080
One extra add-on per shift is worth€4,608
Radogi for this store, a year€1,188

What’s at stake is 4.8× what Radogi costs.

Your numbers, our arithmetic: 48 working weeks, €99 per store a month. It doesn’t count the sales lost while a new starter learns on real customers, or the cost of them leaving early.

Inside every session

Learn it, test it, say it out loud

One skill a session. Short enough for before opening or a quiet afternoon.

  1. 1

    Learn

    One short chapter

A short chapter, one step at a time, with the lines that work and how they sound.

  2. 2

    Test

    3 minutes

Ten questions, easy to hard. Pass it to unlock that chapter’s customer.

  3. 3

    Call

    Up to 5 minutes

Talk to the customer out loud. They react to what you actually say, and they can see your counter.

  4. 4

    Score

    Straight after

Marks out of 50, what went well, and one thing to fix on the next real customer.

A pass is 35 out of 50. The scoring is strict on purpose.

The score

Feedback a good trainer would give, after every call.

Each customer is marked on the five things that matter in that situation: did they ask before showing, explain it in plain words, stay calm when the customer didn’t. Every mark builds a skills profile, so you can see exactly who needs help with what.

  • Strict on purposeA typical new starter scores 3 to 6 out of 10 on each point. Nobody gets a 10 for showing up.
  • Customers walk outBe rude to a customer and they leave. The call scores zero and the manager can see why.

One thing to fix

Ask what jewellery she wears every day before you open the tray. Her style picks the ring, not the price.

See who’s ready, and prove it’s working

Your manager sees every new starter’s first call next to their fifth. That’s the number that tells you the training worked, not a sign-off sheet.

How a pilot runs

  1. 1

    Set up

    Day one

A code for your shop, a manager login, and your brands loaded in.

  2. 2

    Practise

    Weeks one and two

New staff do three short sessions a week, ideally a set slot on the rota.

  3. 3

    Check in

    Weekly

You see who’s improving. We fix anything that isn’t working.

  4. 4

    Decide

    End of month one

Look at the first-to-fifth-call change and how soon people were trusted on the floor. Keep going or walk away.

Who’s behind it

Built behind a real counter.

Radogi started in a fifth-generation family jewellers in Cork, where training every new starter meant someone good stepping off the floor for weeks. The customers, the lines that work and the mistakes that cost sales come from years of selling diamonds and watches.

What do staff need?

A phone with Safari or Chrome, earphones with a mic, and a quiet corner. That’s it.

Are the calls recorded?

Yes, so they can be scored. Recordings are deleted from the voice service after 90 days. Managers see scores, not recordings. The privacy notice has the details.

What if we don’t have a manual?

Most shops don’t. We sit down with your best person for an hour, ask how they sell, and build it from that.

Who owns the content?

You do. Your manual and the chapters built from it are yours, and they’re only shown to your team.

Is it only for jewellers?

For now, yes. We’re starting where we know the trade inside out, and getting it right before adding others.
